Nissan To Deliver a 4th EV Model

Nissan is looking to come out with more EV cars, like the successful Nissan Leaf and upcoming NV200 delivery van.

One option is an electric sports car. Nissan introduced their Esflow two-door concept last year, which featured a sporty design. Pivo 3, a small city car concept, might be an option as well. The EV battery operated car was shown off at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Another alternative is Townpod EV. This small minivan provides easy access via rear-sliding doors and mass amounts of cargo space. Experts believe it is the best option, as Americans are partial to minivans.

However, it seems Nissan has already made up its mind. "It will be a city car," says Andy Palmer, Nissan Motors executive VP for vehicle planning and program management. "It will be in the A/B segment. The car would have to be low-cost. It would be a vehicle where you could potentially accept less range, so you could have a smaller battery."1

And you can bet Carson Nissan will be the first to offer great deals on any future Nissan EVs.
