Nissan To Revive Datsun Brand by 2014

If you're over the age of 40, you probably remember the Datsun. The Fairlady Roadsters and 240Z Coupes cruised the streets all around the US from the late 1950s until the very early 1980s. And, if you keep your eyes peeled, you might still see a Datsun pickup or two cruising around. But, in 1981, the Japanese automaker decided to market purely under their Nissan brand, and solidify the brand worldwide. And since then…

Of the 11,000 Nissan EVs purchased in the United States so far, 40 percent of them are on the West Coast. So then it follows that the Governor of California would be pushing to create infrastructure to support all of those electric vehicles.

However, on the rare occasion of rain (or even more rare occasion of snow!) you'll be interested to know that a recent test conducted by over 60 automotive journalists in Japan have proved this common?

Nissan To Deliver a 4th EV Model

Nissan is looking to come out with more EV cars, like the successful Nissan Leaf and upcoming NV200 delivery van.

One option is an electric sports car. Nissan introduced their Esflow two-door concept last year, which featured a sporty design. Pivo 3, a small city car concept, might be an option as well. The EV battery operated car was shown off at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Another alternative is Townpod EV. This small minivan provides…

Interesting, then, isn't it, that as a general rule, only top-of-the-line brands and models have the most high-tech, active safety features such as lane-departure warning, pedestrian warning and blind-spot warning? Thankfully, Nissan doesn't believe safety is a privilege. They never have and never will. Take their brake override technology, for example. Congress is now mulling the possibility of…
